Abstract

This study aims to investigate the impact of work stress on employees' work-life balance at the Central Bureau of Statistics of Aceh Province through work motivation. The primary data used in this study were 180 employees of the District Statistics Office and the Aceh Provincial Statistics Office, which represented a sample of 467 people in total. The sampling technique used proportionate stratified random sampling. While the method used to analyse the data is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), which is run using the AMOS program. The results showed that job stress negatively affects employee motivation and performance. Job stress variables also negatively affect employee performance. One of the work-related variables that mitigate the impact of work stress on employee performance is the Central Bureau of Statistics in Aceh Province.
